The Ride around the Bear

One of our athletes Jason Corner recently completed the 2011 27th Annual Ride Around The Bear with a killer finishing time.  This is a 109 mile century with just under 9000 ft of climbing… rated in the top 10 toughest centuries in the country.  Out of 393 Starters, Jason finished with the 16th fasted time overall with a time of 6:44:25… less than an hour off the fastest time which was by a former masters national road race champion.  His time also placed him with the 3rd fastest time in the Men 30-39 year olds.

Great job!!  way to Evolve!!

L'Etape du California Gran Fondo

One of our athletes Jason Corner recently completed the 2011 L’Etape du California Gran Fondo with a great finishing time.  Out of 960 FINISHERS, Jason finished 60th place with a time of 5:20:00… less than an hour off the fastest time which included former and current pro cyclists.

Great job!!  way to Evolve!!

Again where we left off last month, is it’s my desire to offer an outline of my training system that can serve as a frame of reference for the aspiring athlete or up and coming coach. Is my method the only way? No, it is not BUT it is a way that will produce the best results possible with the most efficient and economical use of time, effort and money. Next month I’ll get into more details on core concepts with which I have built my protocol that have to deal with cross training and peaking.

Reality: An athlete must have an honest appraisal of both his or her strengths and weaknesses in sport. It is only then that a specific plan can be implemented, designed to enhance strengths and minimize or eliminate weaknesses. Read more
